Kia ora this week in Te Ngahere the year 6s went to Urupukapuka Island for Project Island Song, while the year 7s and 8s were at tech. We went at 8:30 on the Explore boat before we got on the boat we went through biosecurity to make sure we don’t bring any pests onto the island. Such as red ants, Rats and other pests that can take over the island. On the way there we went to see Robertin Island and we saw lots of fish. When we got there we had morning tea and after morning tea we did fun activities. We got splitted into groups of 12 and the group I was in we did gardening. We got into groups of 4. My group planted a beach tree we walked down a big hill and it was so steep. After we finished gardening we made traps. We build traps and my group and I thought it was really hard but it wasn’t it was really easy to make it. After we built the trap we got to draw on the trap, after we finished the trap we went back on the fairy half way through the fairy we saw bottlenose dolphins there were lots of them.
